You can search within commercial databases available through State technical library (STL) user login, or when the computer you are working on has allowed IP address.

Free databases include the databases and portals accessible from public internet, and catalogues of technical libraries, as well as union catalogues.  It is no need you to be registered STL user, or to use computer with allowed IP address to reach these databases.

Virtual Polytechnic Library union catalogue presents an interesting resource of information about journals in Czech technical libraries' collections. You can ask the library having the journal in its collection for article full text.

If you are not successful in looking for an article or journal of your interest, please choose Nenašli jste? from the menu, and check the STM catalogue. In this resource you can find out, which licenced database provides access to the journal, and how to get an access to this database (e.g. which library provides access to the database, if the full text or only abstract is available). STM catalogue registers all the licences purchased within the projects of Czech Ministry of Education, Young and Sports, and selected licences in sciences, engineering, and medicine.

Free databases include selected electronic portals, journals, e-books, organizations web pages, encyclopedias, dictionaries of sciences, applied sciences, engineering and medicine. These databases are all available online for free. Some databases may require free registration for access to the full text.

Commercial databases are those subscribed by State Technical Library. Most of these databases offer article full text directly. The only condition is to be registered STL user.
